Scrive is a service for sending, signing, and managing contracts and other documents.

Scrive has a web front-end (available at http://scrive.com). We also provide API's for a range of purposes.

Our API's strive to open up the power of our system to our users and other software systems while maintaining the legal security that our users have come to trust.

We are continuously evolving the API. It is constantly improving and gaining more features. We are very careful to maintain backwards compatibility. Code you write now for our API will never break as we make changes to our system in the future.

Our APIs have been successfully used by systems large and small. We aim to keep them simple, straightforward, and most importantly, legally secure.

Here is our current API offering:

Contents

Scrive by Mail

Scrive by Mail is our easiest-to-use "API". It's made for humans to use from their favorite email client. Write an email, attach your contract, and send it out to your clients. No need to open your web browser!

User API Documentation

The User API is a basic interface for automating the contract tasks of a single user. It is a work in progress. We have big plans for this API, so stay tuned!

Scrive Integration API

The Integration API is meant for large-scale integrations with existing systems. It provides a white-label solution to contract creation, sending, and managing, all through the existing interface. We handle sending out emails, displaying the contract in a legal way, and recording and storing the signatures.
